Unlike other shared spaces, Rockford Business Center is a more traditional office. Where coworking spaces attempt to create a “social” atmosphere, offering games and “Happy Hour”, we know you’re business is driven and serious. You can be confident in Rockford Business Center’s highly professional atmosphere.

I’ve heard a lot about “coworking” spaces. Is Rockford Business Center a coworking space?

No. Rockford Business Center is a shared office space. While they are similar, there are several distinctions between the two. For example…

Coworking spaces…

• are lively like coffee shops, promote interaction between tenants, offer “Happy Hour”, food and games, are large open areas that support collaboration, have a more social atmosphere, and do not prioritize privacy.

Shared office spaces…

• are like a traditional office space, with individual spaces for you to get work done, don’t offer frivolous extras (which keeps rent low), have a professional atmosphere, prioritize private spaces and confidentiality.

I need somewhere to speak with clients. Do you have conference rooms?

Of course! There are two conference rooms available should you need them. These office spaces are available only to current tenants. We coordinate the rooms, so you’ll never have to guess if they’ll be available when you need them or not.

Do you have virtual offices?

We do not offer virtual offices at this time. However, we do have cubicle spaces available. Plus, you’ll have access to professional spaces when you need to meet with clients, customers, and investors!

What is the advantage of a shared work space?

Simply put, shared office space keeps your overhead low. These spaces are smaller than a traditional office, so you pay for exactly what you need. Rockford Business Center also offers shorter term leases than a traditional office space for the traveling business person. Shared office spaces also help separate your business and personal space. The home isn’t always the best place to get work done, or to bring clients. A shared space mitigates these types of problems and gives your business credibility.

I have important documents I need protected. Do you have locked, more secure, offices as well?

Yes! In addition to the cubicle spaces, we have several office spaces with 24/7 security and locked doors to protect all your documents, ideas, and information.

Do you offer daily rentals of just the conference rooms?

In order to have these spaces available for our current tenants, we do not offer leasing or rentals of just conference rooms.

Can I bring my pet into the office?

We love our four legged and feathered friends as much as the next, but we ask you leave Fido at home. No pets are allowed in Rockford Business Center.

I’m starting a business and think I might outgrow this space after a few months. Do you offer short term leases?

Rockford Business Center offers short term and long term leases, as short as 6 months and as long as you need. If you’re looking for a bigger space with a longer term lease, we can help with that as well! Visit First Midwest Group to see our other properties.

What kind of amenities are on site for tenants?

We have a kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes and utensils, cabinet space, and sink for you to use.
